She was in love with a farm boy who was poor and perfect, with eyes like the sea after a storm.
My own farm boy made a life long dream of mine come true when he surprised me with a trip to Ireland this past September. He had been working extra hard to be able to send me with my family who was going for my sisters senior trip. Never have I ever seen a more beautiful place and I can’t wait to tell you all about places to see, food to eat and my new thang I’m calling, “Whimzy in your Wardrobe” where I share with you ways to add a little magic or ‘whimzy’ to your wardrobe!
Day 1 The Cliffs of Moher
Our first stop was The Cliffs of Moher… Maybe you know them as “The Cliffs of Insanity” on The Princess Bride. (Can you guess where I got the inspiration for my wardrobe?) Thanks to Pink Blush for this incredible dress that perfectly embodied the Princess Buttercup vibe I was going for! And for the sweater because holy moly it was cold!
My sister, Addie, wanted to go a different direction and was going for the Claire from Outlander vibe. I must say… I think we killed it, don’t you?
The Cliffs were absolutely magical and a must see if you go to Ireland. It was very windy and although we wore dresses (Do it for the ‘gram!) I wouldn’t necessarily suggest it, unless you’re kinda crazy like us. 😉
It is crowded and very tourist-y but absolutely worth the view. When you think of Ireland, this is without a doubt something you imagine. Just be ready for rain and WIND! Oh the wind!
After the cliffs, we stumbled upon a couple darling places and one of them was a little castle that was turned into an art school called Burren College of Art.
We were able to go inside the castle and tour the campus while art classes were going on and a faint violin playing in the distance. Seriously… who wouldn’t want to go here? There was inspiration everywhere.
